Photographer, producer and editor. He has had solo exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania. He has participated in art fairs in Lisboa, Miami, New York, and Madrid, won the 1st Prize in the 7th Edition of the Coruche Biennalle, and has published several photography books. Organizer of Mapa das Artes (Lisboa contemporary art map), Bairro das Artes and PIPA — Programa da Imagem e da Palavra da Azinhaga, boardmember of the Isto Não é Um Cachimbo association and editorial director of “Série PH” of Imprensa Nacional where he had published Jorge Molder, Paulo Nozolino, Helena Almeida, Fernando Lemos, José M. Rodrigues, Ernesto de Sousa and Jorge Guerra.
His artistic work focus on the crossings between fields such as literature and painting, having authored, in this context, the series “Quintetos”, with words by Eduardo Lourenço, “Os Senhores do Bairro”, with Gonçalo M. Tavares’, and “Trindade”, for Fernando Pessoa’s Mensagem. He is very much interested in exploring the idea of “non-frontier” of Photography. He is represented in several private collections in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Belgium, and Romania and the following institutional collections: MUDAS – Contemporary Art Museum of Madeira, Fonseca Macedo Collection, Lisbon City Hall Collection, Marin Gaspar Collection, Serralvez Library Collection, Neo-Realism Museum, Collection of the Art Library of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Municipality of Coruche and Latin America House (in Lisboa). He is represented by Salgadeiras Contemporary Art Gallery in Lisbon, and is a guest artist of H’art Gallery in Bucharest.
