Lives and works in Lisboa, Portugal Studied painting and engraving at the Ar.Co – Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, Lisbon (1998-2003). In 2005 received the Prize for Best Videoclip, Qwartz Awards in Paris, for Fully Connected / Microaudiowaves; in 2003 represented Portugal at the Young Creatives Biennal in Athens, Greece; and in 2002 she received a grant from Caixa Geral de Depósitos. Daniela Krtsch uses painting, photography and sculpture to create dialogues and suspended narratives, inspired by memories and experiences, both personal and collective, through which she researches the crossing fields of reality and fiction.
Her working modus embraces a great openness and will to experiment with new media and forms of different expressions crossing them with each other and thus creating new and surprising results. She has been exhibiting consistently in individual and group exhibitions since 2000. Her work is represented in the collections of the Portuguese State Collection / Ministery of Culture, Deutsche Bank, PLMJ Foundation, and Coleccion Navacerrada.
