Inês d’Orey’s artistic practice primarily revolves around photography, although she has been diversifying into installation and video art. Her focus lies in reinterpreting interior urban spaces, exploring contemporary issues with a distinct social and political perspective.
As an independent photographer, she serves both private clients and public institutions while pursuing personal projects. Her works have been widely published and exhibited across numerous countries including Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Lithuania, Brazil, Russia, Japan, the USA, and Serbia.
Her artistic contributions are not confined to galleries; her works adorn several private and public collections, including the Portuguese collections: EDP Foundation, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Art Library Collection, Lisbon City Hall Collection, Porto City Hall Collection, Serralves Library Collection, Marin Gaspar Collection, Fonseca Macedo Collection, Norlinda and José Lima Collection, and internationally: Oliva Arauna Coleción (Spain), and Galleri Image (Denmark). She was awarded the Fnac New Talent prize in photography in 2007.
