Much of Inês d’Orey’s artistic work focuses on the transformation of the heritage identity of the contemporary city, where the architectural object presents itself as a subject of memory, changing its meanings over time. The architecture, the polis, the border between public and private space, the investigation of places and their contexts are some of the elements that make up his body of work, whose main medium is photography, although mixing with installation and video. She has been frequently publishing and exhibiting her work in different countries (Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, United Kingdom, Slovenia, Lithuania, Brasil, Russia, Japan, USA, Serbia).
Is represented in the Portuguese collections: EDP Foundation, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Art Library Collection, Lisbon City Hall Collection, Porto City Hall Collection, Serralves Library Collection, Marin Gaspar Collection, Fonseca Macedo Collection, Norlinda and José Lima Collection, and internationally: Oliva Arauna Coleción (Spain), and Galleri Image (Denmark).
She was awarded the Fnac New Talent prize in photography in 2007, and is one of the finalists of Photo London x Nikon Emerging Photographer Award 2024.
