Vigo, 1982. Eva Díez’s work has a strong poetic component centered on the interpretation of landscape as an emotional and natural place. Having photography or video as a starting point, her proposals express a composition with a strong scenic nature, where light, the process, the analysis of the context, and their relation with the idea of sustainability are key. Full of symbolism, her work questions how the intimate is situated to the world, with strong compositions capable of suspending themselves between everyday life and mystery.
She is represented in several private collections in Spain and Portugal, and public collections such as CGAC — Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea e a Colección Fotográfica del Ayuntamiento de Vigo. Eva Díez has consistently exhibited her work in museums, art fairs, and art galleries, including her most recent exhibition “CRUZAMENTOS na arte galega” from Colección CGAC (CGAC, 2022), Premio de Fotografía Fundación ENAIRE 2021 (Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid, 2021). She won Premio de Fotografíia Joven Fundación ENAIRE (2020); Premio Fundación Pillar Citoler al joven coleccionista de JustMad Art Fair (2018); Premio Galicia de Fotografía Contemporánea (2015) and Premio Art Photo Bcn (2015). Eva Díez is represented by Salgadeiras Contemporary Art Gallery, Lisbon (Portugal), Galería Marisa Marimón in Ourense, Galiza (Spain), and by La Gran in Madrid (Spain).
