On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Ferdinand Magellan’s voyage, the exhibition “Trinus” is part of the commemorations of this milestone organized by the Casa da América Latina in Lisbon, presenting for the first time the complete series of 12 photographs.
From an artistic residency at sea, aboard a cargo ship, came the photographs that Cláudio Garrudo presents in this exhibition, which invites us to reflect on the journey in its multiple meanings, because “what matters is to depart, not to arrive,” words by Miguel Torga that accompany this exhibition. In dialogue with the literary world of Latin America, the exhibition also includes a poem by the Argentine poet Roberto Juarroz.
