In “Prospective Modular Archeology”, João Dias presents his most recent work around this idea of sculpture that merges with the wall surface and other formal essays in a game of contrasts and visual dynamics.There is, in his artistic practice, a side to the exploration of materials by time as a concept, rather than a measure, either by the archaeological discovery that is revealed in his studio where, over the years, residues and memories have been deposited on the objects, or also by the creation of objects themselves representative of their Time, as a kind of artifacts without “concrete temporality”.
