There is a documentary dimension in the drawings that Rui Horta Pereira presents in this exhibition, sediments of adventures, discoveries, and revelations.

They are “documents that survive the drag,” the accumulation of water and pigment, absorption and evaporation, where the unpredictable is embraced and gravity is challenged. Thus, in the series “Mata-borrão” and “Mergulho,” other islands are revealed, made of ink rather than earth, surrounded by sky rather than sea.
