Daniela Krtsch made the final shortlist of 30 artists, voted by the public for the Sovereign Portuguese Art Prize, with the series “Caring”, oil paintings on canvas.
“Caring” is inspired by the quote by activist Maya Angelou: “As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one to help yourself and one to help others”. This metaphor describes the hands as something to heal, to care for, to give and receive love.
