Continuing to explore the House as a symbol of the human being, Eva Díez conceived and installed “her” house in uninhabited landscapes, where the presence of the Universe is reflected, in all its splendor and fullness, in the very mirrors of this structure. These are “places of absence” that become filled with life through this gesture, deliberately staged yet real, which the artist proposes here and which, as she herself notes, “like emptiness, contains nothing and contains the entire universe.”
The series “Lugar de Ausencia” was awarded the “Pilar Citoler Prize” at JUST MAD 2018 and “Fotografía Joven Fundación ENAIRE” at JUST MAD 2020.
